Trumpet

 

Trumpet is a member of the brass family. Sound is made by vibrating your lips against the mouthpiece. Air vibrates and travels through the instrument. Different notes are made by pressing the 3 valves down in different combinations. The trumpet rental comes with a Trumpet, case and one (1) bottle of valve oil.

 

Basic trumpet maintenance is easy. Valve oil should be used often to make sure all the valves are lubricated and move freely. Make sure to open the Water Key regularly and blow out any accumulated moisture. Valves and valve casings should be cleaned on a regular basis with a cleaning snake or brush, and be sure to give your instrument a bath during school vacations. An important thing to always remember: If your child shows an interest in playing an instrument, be sure to show them support! Don't be afraid an instrument is too heavy, too complicated or too big for your child. Let them explore their musical talents, no matter how strange you may think it is. Encouragement is the key to success.
